Funnies on Pinterest

Allieology

Linking up again today for Funnies on Pinterest

I love Pinterest. I could waste hours browsing. Whoever invented that ish is a genius. But apparently I don't look at the categories enough because I didn't even know that "Humor" was one of the categories.  [also didn't know there were now Tattoo and Men's Fashion - how many men are on Pinterest? :p] Anyways, browsing through the Humor today and here are a couple of my faves :)

hahah I freakin' LOVE this one. I want to make it cuter and frame it so that my husband can refer to it multiple times a day :o)

Favorite Things To Do in The Summer

Allieology

Today's linkup post is Favorite Things To Do in The Summer !!
I #bigpuffyheart love summer.

I love all the sunshine. The warm weather. The happiness it brings! I'm pretty sure everyone's seratonin level goes up during the summer months.

  • Getting tan. I love how the summer sun gives my skin a beautiful brown glow. I know tanning is bad for you, but everything looks better tan :p
  • Hanging out with the kids at the pool. They love to spend hours splashing around, and I love laying in the chair working on my tan while reading my kindle. Obviously I don't get too much reading time in with the kids constantly yelling for my attention [& lately breaking up my 3 yr olds fights hahah]
  • Taking vacation days to spend time with the family
  • the BEACH!!! Who doesn't love the beach?! I don't know anyone. The ocean breeze, sunshine, palm trees, sand, pools, restaurants, shopping. Love it ALL.
  • Go to an outdoor concert. Even though it feels like a million degrees outside with all those sweaty bodies crowded around, it's a fun time! I'm actually going to a Def Leppard/Kiss concert on the 20th! Hahah I know, I know - but I love the 80s :) or really Def Leppard. I've seen them 4 times already :p

  • Sleep during a summer thunderstorm. I don't like a lot of rain. And I get cranky if rains multiple days in a row [or if it tries to ruin my beach trip!] But summer thunderstorms are the best :)
  • Go to the drive-in. I read somewhere that there are only like 350 drive in theaters left in the US and my little ole town has one of them! I always fall asleep during the 2nd movie because I'm a loser and can't stay up that late, but it is fun packing the car up with the kids, snacks, pillows & blankets and watching a movie. We actually haven't been this year yet. Need to go!

Most Embarrassing Story

So today's linkup topic is Most Embarrassing Story.
Other than the fact that I had to spell check the word "embarrassing" because I kept leaving the 2nd "r" out... whoops :)
Allieology

I'm sure that this is not my most embarrassing story. But truthfully, my memory is getting crappier and nothing else pops into my head but this.
This one time at band camp I got the bright idea to join a gym and go to a spin class. This was a few years ago, before ever getting pregnant with my youngest. I was not a working out kinda gal, but some of my coworkers & friends had been getting in shape so I thought I better to.

I walk into the small spin class and grab a bike towards the back. I look around a see people larger than me and a couple elderly people so I think "Oh yeah, if they can do it.. I got this!"  - hah. jokes on me.

The class starts and the instructor was hardcore [okay, hardcore in my eyes] and she's all "UP! down! UP! DOWN! turn up the resistance!" and blah.blah.blah. *eyeroll*

I feel like I'm dying. I cannot feel my legs. There is pain everywhere. Legs. Butt. Feet. I think I might throw up. But I keep on because if these old people are doing it then I better! Finally, class is over and I cannot get off of my bike. Seriously, I couldn't. I sat there for a couple minutes as everyone else gets off and cleans off their seat. I somehow end up melting & sliding off the seat and some old man comes over and makes some joke about it being my first time. Real funny old geezer.

Best part is, the spin room was on the 2nd floor. No elevator obviously so I had to walk down a flight of stairs, with my jello bowed out legs, and holding onto the rail with both hands to insure I didn't fall. And yes, on the way out the door I passed an ex-boyfriend working out. Of course.
I went to the car and cried a bit before managing to drive myself home. And then I stayed in bed all weekend recuperating. Needless to say I cancelled my gym membership and never went back. NOT FOR ME!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

//*okay so since I brought up working out in the post, I thought I would share that I recently became a Beachbody Coach! I am currently doing the new PiYo workout dvds and drinking the Shakeology and I am LOVINGGGG it. PiYo is a Pilates/Yoga Fusion and it's low impact - meaning no jumping around or running in place! The stretching feels so good but it's using your own body weight to tone your body! Pretty neat. I will probably blog about it at a later date but for now shoot me an email if you have any questions, I would love to help you out :) casi_rdms@yahoo.com

Things I Do When I'm Alone

So today's blogging topic is Things I Do When I'm Alone. Wait .. what's that?!
Being alone???
Seriously I don't know that I am ever alone. Except for in the car driving to and from work an hour each way. Does that count???

Allieology
If that's the case then::
  • I sing to every song. It's hard for me to listen to the radio without singing. And doing some arm movements to "dance" as best I can in the car.
  • Look at myself in sun visor mirror. Flameful but I might touchup my lipstick.
  • Take my sunglasses off/put them on top of my head a minimum of 25 times during that 60 minutes. It's like I have A.D.D. and can't decide how I want them.
  • I make mental lists that I will never complete. I like to think about things I want to do to update the house to put it back on the market, a mental grocery list of all these new Pinterest recipes that I NEVER end up buying & cooking, things I need to do when I get home that I can never remember once I do finally get home, etc. etc. ...
  • and some days (like today *cough cough*) I forget about eating healthy & sneak a treat all to myself. Making sure to get rid of all the evidence so noone knows. But then I took this selfie so there goes that :-\...
300 calories of Frosty Cone Goodness

Okay so if my husband isn't home, and it's just the kids & I, then that's about as close to "alone" as I get outside of the car. I do like to spend that time --
  • blasting music from Pandora on my iKicker. Hubs hates when I have the music loud so if he's not home then my house is bumping :p
  • clean - for some reason if I have to clean then I would prefer he not be home. Probably because I get mad if he's sitting on the computer while I'm scrubbing the toliet.
  • catch up on my shows. -my reality tv addictions!
  • NAPTIME! My 9 yr old obviously does not nap, but my 3 yr old does (or else he is super cranky by 6 ) so I can make my oldest go to her room for quiet time and I can nap for 2 hours on the couch. It.is.heaven.

Things that Make Me Smile .. :)

So obviously I  am no blogger. But I've seen this blog everyday in July challenge going around and thought it would be neat to join in on {some of them}.
Allieology

Today's topic is
Things That Make me Smile
  • Long weekends - coming off of a long weekend is rough (makes Monday suck so much more!! :( BUT having that extra day at home is awesome. I feel like I am able to get so much done.. whether it be cleaning (hah) or spending time with the kids.
  • Sunshine - my number 1 thing about summer that I love is getting a tan!! I love laying in the sun while the kids play in the pool, reading a book on my kindle while the sun turns me nice & brown. Seriously there are not many things more relaxing than this.
  • The fact that we will be on vacation next week! Yay I have missed the beach.
  • When everyone eats what I cook and at least seem to like it!
  • Hearing my 3 yr old talk. You can't help but smile listening to the ramblings of a toddler as he tells a story about his day, or tries to persuade you that he does need a cookie before dinner!! He "really really" does! :p
  • That my 9 yr old not only loves to read, but loves listening to the music I like. She is a regular mini-me and I love it. For now at least - dread those teenage years! Eek!
  • Reality tv. I can't help. I'm addicted & find myself laughing along like I *know* them. Real Housewives of the OC anyone?
  • When that last patient of the day shows up. So nice knowing you are almost done for her day :)
  • Online shopping. I may have spent a lot of my morning doing some online browsing and making a mental wish list of things I NEED. <--- hah I sound like my toddler ;)
